These are the people who play a part in helping to shape life at BCC. The Staff Team & Elders are responsible for upholding the teachings of Christ and shaping the culture within the community.

Andi Norton | Lead Pastor & Elder
Andi Norton | Lead Pastor

Andi and his wife Nikki are passionate about people and helping them grow in the way of Jesus. This means seeing people equipped, empowered and released to to serve Jesus wholeheartedly. They therefore have a heart for discipleship and mentoring, with the desire to build a community rooted in their faith and loving one another as Christ loves us.

As Lead Pastor, Andi oversees the vision and mission of BCC as well as manages the staff team. He strives to preach, teach and pastor God's people under Jesus Christ, the Chief Shepherd. They have two children in secondary school, and in their free time they love gardening, taking long walks, climbing mountains, reading, and writing and producing music.

Berno Vierbergen | Associate Pastor

Berno is passionate about building a deep and purposeful community who seek to discover and live out the reality of God in this world. As Associate Pastor, Berno oversees the youth work at BCC and works alongside Danielle and Andi to help families connected to BCC to flourish. Berno also works closely with Andi to help shape the vision and direction for BCC, and invest in local primary schools.

With his wife Lucy and their two girls, Berno enjoys going on outdoor adventures, making videos (when he gets time) and listening to people’s stories about life.

Danielle Jeffries | Children's Ministry Lead

Danielle wears many hats – quite literally! She oversees the children’s ministry at BCC including Ignite on a Sunday morning and BCC's annual Summer Club. She is passionate about equipping children with the words, courage and resilience to be ‘salt and light’ to their friends and wider family. She has followed God’s prompting and swapped her career as a Primary School Teacher to become a student at Moorlands College! She loves reading books and using stories to explain and illustrate things. Danielle is married to Graham, and they have 4 adult children and 1 granddaughter. Time spent with family is very precious to her. She also enjoys walking with Graham by the beach and in the forest, with an obligatory coffee shop stop of course! She has even managed to convince him to share her love of watching Musical Theatre.

Steve Cohu | Worship Lead & Technical Manager

Steve is Married to Linda, has three children, a Labrador and a few reptiles. One of Steve's greatest passions is to help others engage in worship. His love for music and playing in a band are gifts he eagerly shares to help develop others' abilities to lead a congregation to worship God. Steve also manages all the technical aspects of BCC, including sound, lighting, audio visual and livestreaming. Not only does Steve supports BCC's worship bands and technical teams with training and resources, but he is also passionate about giving the next generation the chance to grow in their musical talents. Steve and Berno work closely together to create opportunities for young people to flourish in their musical gifts. When Steve has a free moment he will be thinking of all kinds of creative ideas for a project he has in mind.

Caroline Davis | Pastoral Care & Discipleship

Caroline is married to Colin, and they have belonged to BCC since 2006. Caroline loves encouraging & enabling people to experience the fullness of life that Jesus offers. She joined the staff team in 2013 & has undertaken a variety of roles, working part time. Caroline has been a social care professional for over 30yrs. She currently leads a wonderful group of people within the church who support others as the Pastoral Care & Discipleship Team. As individual Christians, and as church together we believe we have a biblical mandate to care well for one another and an obligation to protect those who are vulnerable and at risk of harm. Caroline loves reading, snorkelling & date nights. She most likes spending time with friends laughing until she dissolves into a puddle of tears!

Lynn Coombs | Safeguarding Lead

Lynn is married to Steve, they have 4 children and 5 grandchildren. Lynn has 30 years experience working with vulnerable children and families and teaching on this subject. She is a qualified Dyslexia Tutor and has supported students at Moorlands College for the past 12 years. Together Lynn and Steve are committed to supporting people who have experienced the Fostering and Adoption process. Lynn enjoys serving in the children’s ministry at BCC and loves showing them how they can have their own personal relationship with Jesus.

Graham Jeffries | Elder

Graham is an Elder and is part of the finance team at BCC. He is passionate about reading God’s word and reflecting on the wisdom and relevance it holds for living in today’s society. He works as a partner in a national law firm and also serves as a trustee for a local College. Graham is a keen photographer and can often be found observing life through the lens of a camera, finding a fresh perspective and seeing details that are unexpected and thought provoking. He loves to cook and sharing hospitality to friends, neighbours and family is something he and Danielle both love to do.
